The curfew was lifted on 4 February 2016. If you choose to travel to, or remain in Tunisia you need to double check that your medical and travel insurance policy provides adequate coverage. Failure to do so could result in future issues with any claims made resulting from your stay in Tunisia.

Tunisia: State Of Emergency Has Been Extended For 2 Months Featured

State of emergency has been extended for 2 months from 24 December until 21 February 2016. Further attacks remain highly likely, including against foreigners. Security forces are on a high state of alert in Tunis and other locations. You should be especially vigilant and avoid crowded places over the holiday period, including around Mouled (24 December), Christmas and New Year.

Tunisia: Exchanging Tunisian Dinars Featured

It is strictly prohibited to take Tunisian dinars out of the country. To exchange any Tunisian dinars left over at the end of your stay into Sterling or other hard currency you will need to show the receipt from the bank where you first withdrew the dinars. Please note that receipts from cash machines are not accepted.
